I am originally from Lakeville, MN.  I graduated from Winona State University with a Bachelors in Health and Physical Education as well as a Masters of Health Education.  I taught health and physical education grades 7-12 at Lewiston-Altura for 22 years and grades K-4 elementary physical education at Lewiston-Altura Elementary since 2002.  I was the district DAPE specialist for 33 years.  Coaching has been part of my life for 34 years and sports I have coached are volleyball, track, gymnastics, swimming and diving.  I have loved working with young people from age three to graduation.  My husband Todd also teaches at the intermediate school within our school district, and we live in Winona.  I enjoy traveling, hanging out with my friends and extended family, reading, being outside, and sports/activities as a participate and spectator.  I find it very rewarding if I help my students realize the importance of nutritious eating and daily activity and see kids leading a healthy lifestyle.
