On the final day of classes at Bovine High School, a renegade student takes over the morning announcements and proposes that everyone do something bold. Or unexpected. Or brave. Or stupid. You may not have another chance, so now's the time to stop being a wallflower and kiss the girl (or guy!). To let your enemies know that you have always hated their guts. Or to do something as simple as climbing the rope in the gym without throwing up. Through a series of interconnected scenes, misconceptions, grudges, and secret crushes come out into the open in hilarious and surprisingly touching ways—a comedy with a lot of heart, and no regrets.
3/20 FOOLS FIVE! Pledge Collection

FOOLS FIVE fundraising is going on at the high school right now.
On Thursday, March 20th @ 7:30-8AM in the high school cafeteria we will be collection pledge sheets, handing out t-shirts, and signing up for the race.
- *Students can put free-will donations in there class buckets
- *They can pull a sucker out of the sucker tree and if the bottom has yellow = free, pink = $1, blue = $2 — this money can also go in their class bucket
- *Student can purchase a heart or boxing gloves to commemorate a loved one — this money can also go in their class bucket.
- *They can also be asking for pledges (like they did in elementary school), the first turn in will be March 20th for pledge sheets -- students will get their shirts if they raised at least $20 that day and/or can sign up for the race.
- *We'll allow collections to happen until Wednesday, April 2
- *If we reach $500 as a school there will be a reward of their choice
- *If we reach $750 as a school the two grades who raise the most will pick a party of choice (6-8th competing & 9-12th competing)
- *If we reach $5,000 Mr. Accord will shave his iconic Santa beard
JMC Grade Updates

I want to first start with I AM PROUD of students for advocating for their grades & now seeing the value of them. However, the missing/late work list is getting long and the expectation to have it graded the second they turn it in is wearing on me.
In my syllabus next year and until the end of the year, students were told I will publish grades on Mondays for grade checks and if I put in an assignment for the WHOLE class throughout the week. I will NOT publish for a single missing grade because then notification emails get out of hand for parents that have those enabled.
I also need to keep up on the assignments that ARE turned in on time, so it may take up to 14 days for me to circle back and grade what was missing, this is why it's important for your child turn assignments in on time to keep a planner or place where they can record what they've completed and still need to complete. We did have this conversation as a whole, I just wanted you to be aware!
Spring Fling Dress up Days 3/24-3/28

End of Quarter 3 - March 28 + Book Reports

We have a FREE CHOICE Book report due near the end of the Quarter 3 (Wed. 3/26). A student must fill out the sheet and a parent/guardian has to SIGN it. Thank you to those who have already turned it in. If your child needs another copy, I have extras available in class.
BIOGRAPHY - One of the book reports they've been working on is a Biography on a famous person, I don't have the details yet, but that last week of March we will be doing a mini presentation about our people. Your child is encouraged to have a prop or two related to their person. Ask who your child is researching and start looking for props, if there is anything you'd need help finding/getting, let me know!
